The IT Fundamentals Program offers courses that provide an overview of IT concepts including: hardware, software, networks, IT careers and skills, databases, and ethics with an emphasis on applications of IT in business.
Students are equipped with a working knowledge of computer concepts and fundamental skills necessary for work and communication in today’s society. Students gain an enhanced knowledge for input/output systems, computer hardware and operating systems. The course incorporates multiple current scenarios to help students more clearly recognize the importance of information technology and apply their knowledge.

This course is designed to take you from the just-a-user level to the I-can-do-this level for hardware- and software-related activities and issues. It achieves its goal with an unusually effective combination of tools that reinforce both concepts and hands-on learning, and real-world experiences. It also prepares the learner for competency exams. The knowledge of how to use a computer is a must.
