Multimedia Course Information
Multimedia is the combined use of text, graphics, sound animation, and video. By understanding the basics of multimedia technology and their application, students will gain a broad perspective of art, design, and communication theory.
Multimedia students will also gain a broad perspective of the processes and tools, including occupational opportunities in the area of multimedia. We will also work on comprehending how to apply various tools to create a dynamic visual experience for the end user is the essence of multimedia.
Our Multimedia Program prepares students to begin a sequential four-course series covering: the creation of a website, webpages, manipulating and producing professional images, creating vector graphics, and producing publications through the use of Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress. Students will be able to identify career positions in the multimedia industry at the end of this course.
This course is designed to take you from the just-a-user level to the I-can-do-this level for hardware- and software-related activities and issues. It achieves its goal with an unusually effective combination of tools that reinforce both concepts and hands-on learning, and real-world experiences. It also prepares the learner for competency exams.
